On Saturday, September 23, 2023, FAST-National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Chiniot-Faisalabad Campus organized a series of training sessions aimed at enhancing the professional development of faculty members and undergraduate students. Dr. Tobias Sprodowski from the University of Bremen, Germany, was the resource person for these sessions, which covered various topics. The event commenced with a Quranic recitation, followed by welcoming remarks from Prof. Dr. Shahzad Sarfraz, the Director of FAST-NUCES CFD Campus, and Prof. Dr. Arshad Islam, Director of QEC NUCES, who introduced the SSAPI project.
The first session, conducted by Dr. Tobias Sprodowski, focused on “Teaching Practical Problem Solving (PPS)” and was tailored for Engineering and Computing faculty members. Dr. Sprodowski also conducted a session on the “Benefits of Internationalization for Students and Adapting to European Universities,” which was open to all undergraduate students.
Faculty members from the NUCES Lahore campus also participated, promoting cross-campus collaboration.
This session aimed to inform students about the advantages of internationalization and adapting to European classroom environments.
For faculty members, Dr. Asif Naeem discussed “NUCES ORIC Policies,” offering insights into research-related guidelines and support services. Dr. Muhammad Aleem covered “NUCES Graduate Policies.” Dr. M. Arshad Islam introduced faculty members to incorporate the “ChatGPT Assessment.”
In the end, Mr. Muhammad Sekandar Riaz, Deputy Manager QEC, expressed gratitude to all facilitators, and souvenirs were distributed to them as a token of appreciation by Prof. Dr. Shahzad Sarfraz, Director of FAST-NUCES CFD Campus.
